ABOUT US
OUR FOUNDER—Anna Merriman
Mutts in a Rut Rescue was established in the spring of 2014 by our founder, Anna Merriman. She has loved and worked with animals all her life and was compelled from an early age to rescue dogs, cats and the occasional rabbit or chicken. She manages a household full of dogs
and cats, a full time job in the animal welfare field and overseas all operations of the rescue.
OUR MISSION
Mutts in a Rut is a 501(c)(3) non-profit dog rescue dedicated to saving dogs and cats from overpopulated shelters in Cleveland and surrounding areas. Our goal is to provide the animal we rescue with the medical care, behavioral training and a chance at finding forever home through our network of foster homes, all of which is funded by the generosity of our donors.Mutts strives to place our adoptable dogs and cats with families that will make a lifetime commitment to their new pet.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
Mutts in a Rut is run solely by volunteers. We have an amazing group of people who play a critical role in finding homes for dogs & cats in need from the Greater Cleveland area, fundraising to support our efforts and networking our program online and around the area to help spread the word about our organization and our adoptables.
