Mutts in a Rut is solely a volunteer-based rescue, which means that all of our adoptable dogs and cats are in foster homes. But we have a number of ways in which you can volunteer your time to help our organization. Volunteer with us and you’ll be joining an amazing group of people who play a critical role
in finding homes for dogs & cats in need from the Greater Cleveland area.
HOW YOU CAN HELP

Foster—Since we are a foster-based program, we are always looking for foster to give our rescues a place to stay while waiting for their forever homes.

Events—Name recognition is key to our continued growth and success. Our events team is always looking for new members to help make connections with local vendors/event promoters to get our name and rescues out there. Help is also needed with coordinating and working events.

Transport—Driving our rescues to/from medical appointments, freedom rides from the shelter and dropping off supplies to fosters—are tasks that we always need help with.

Fundraising—All of our funding comes solely from donations from our supporters. Fundraising is critical to ensure we can continue to help provide medical and ongoing care for our dogs & cats.

Community Outreach—We are always looking for volunteers to help coordinating our TNR and dog house outreach programs in the Greater Cleveland area.
